Jason Tanoory, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Tanoory, or Jason as he prefers to be addressed by his patients and staff, moved to Canandaigua in 2001. After associateships in Philadelphia, PA, Rochester, NY and Penn Yan, NY, he opened Finger Lakes Dental Care in 2002.
Dr. Jason received his higher education at the University of Dayton, in Ohio, where he received his BS in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Biochemistry. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. He earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY. In addition to Dr. Jason’s formal education, he has completed over 1,000 hours of continuing education in the past 4 years. New York State requires only 20 hours per year. The spectrum of this advanced education ranges from Cosmetic Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, and Implant Placement, to Denture Therapy and Sedation Dentistry. Dr. Jason recently received a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. He also has a fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Jason is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Family Dentistry, the Monroe Dental Society, the Sedation Dentistry Association Congress of Oral Implantology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Jason has given lectures and assistance to educate fellow dentists on various topics from practice management of clinical skills. He has had several articles published in local newspapers, dental magazines, periodicals and dental websites. In addition to helping/educating others in the field of dentistry, he is also active in the community, providing education on various dental topics at local businesses, retirement and senior homes, as well as presenting at primary schools throughout the Finger Lakes.
Dr. Jason is blessed with a wonderful wife, Kara, and five children; Anna, Olivia, Jack, CJ and Luke. They also have two Labrador retrievers, Dakota and Henry. His growing family lives in Canandaigua.
Charity Bouyer, DMD
Dr. Bouyer was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She graduated with a BS in biology from Saint John’s University in Queens, NY and received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford, NY. Dr. Bouyer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the NYS Dental Society. She is committed to providing the finest quality of dentistry for her community and strongly believes in continuing education and training.
Dr. Charity lives in Canandaigua with her fiancée, Forrest. She enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Chris Miller, DDS
Dr. Chris earned his BS from the University of Rochester and completed dental school at the University at Buffalo. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Miller continues to learn and keeps up to date with the latest procedures in order to best help his patients. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
It is Dr. Millers’ goal to make each and every patient experience a pleasant and comfortable one. Growing up in a small town, he values the importance of relationships and getting to really know each patient that walks through the door. He genuinely looks forward to seeing you soon!
Frank Sapere, DDS
Dr. Sapere is a Rochester native. He received a BS in biology from Le Moyne College and went on to receive a DDS degree from the University at Buffalo. After dental school, Dr. Sapere completed a general practice residency in Bangor, Maine, with a focus on oral surgery. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sapere has many hobbies including water skiing, woodworking, and gardening. He is an avid Buffalo Bills fan, along with his wife and two dogs.
Kami Sobey, DDS
Dr. Kami was born and raised in Canandaigua, NY. After graduating from Canandaigua Academy, Kami earned a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester. She then worked for several years in sales, customer service and in health care before going back to school to pursue an advanced degree. As a married adult with children, Kami earned a master’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University at Buffalo, followed by a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.
Kami is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the NYS Dental Society, as well as the Seventh District Dental Society.
Kami and her husband, Whit, live in Canandaigua with their three children; Avery, Harper and Wilo. Kami and Whit are avid skiers and love being outside with their kids, enjoying all four seasons of the beautiful Finger Lakes region.
Catherine Telehany, DDS
Dr. Cate was raised in a military family in Upstate NY. She received her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from SUNY College at Oneonta. Afterwards, she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Cate then completed post-doctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New York State Dental Society and Seventh District Dental Society.
Currently, Dr. Cate is actively pursuing advanced orthodontic training in Toronto with the Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics. Dr. Cate strives to deliver high-quality comprehensive dental care within the progressive and positive work environment at FLDC. Dr. Cate lives in Canandaigua with her husband, Stephen, and their two children, Aleksander and Holland.
