Jason Tanoory, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Tanoory, or Jason as he prefers to be addressed by his patients and staff, moved to Canandaigua in 2001. After associateships in Philadelphia, PA, Rochester, NY and Penn Yan, NY, he opened Finger Lakes Dental Care in 2002.
Dr. Jason received his higher education at the University of Dayton, in Ohio. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. He earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY. Dr Jason has a passion for continuing education. The spectrum of this advanced education ranges from cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, and implant placement, to denture therapy and sedation dentistry. Dr. Jason has received a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. He also has a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Jason is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Family Dentistry, the Monroe Dental Society, the Sedation Dentistry Association Congress of Oral Implantology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Jason has given lectures and assistance to educate fellow dentists on various topics including practice management of clinical skills. He has had several articles published in local newspapers, dental magazines, periodicals and dental websites. In addition to helping and educating others in the field of dentistry, he is also active in the community, providing education on various dental topics at local businesses, retirement and senior homes, as well as presenting at primary schools throughout the Finger Lakes.
Dr. Jason is blessed with a wonderful wife, Kara, and five children; Anna, Olivia, Jack, CJ and Luke. Dr. Jason’s other passions are reading, serving the community, health and wellness, and his Faith.
Andy Bracci, DMD
Dr. Andrew Bracci joined Finger Lakes Dental Care because he wanted to join a practice that strives to change the way people feel about going to the dentist while offering state-of-the-art treatment options for our patients.
Dr. Andrew Bracci is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a graduate of Notre Dame and Temple University School of Dentistry. A decorated veteran, he served as a dental officer at the Naval Hospital Great Lakes. Dr. Bracci is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, New York State Oral Surgery Society and Erie County Dental Society.
Chris Miller, DDS
Dr. Chris earned his BS from the University of Rochester and completed dental school at the University at Buffalo. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Miller continues to learn and keeps up to date with the latest procedures in order to best help his patients. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
It is Dr. Millers’ goal to make each and every patient experience a pleasant and comfortable one. Growing up in a small town, he values the importance of relationships and getting to really know each patient that walks through the door. He genuinely looks forward to seeing you soon!
Frank Sapere, DDS
Dr. Sapere is a Rochester native. He received a BS in biology from Le Moyne College and went on to receive a DDS degree from the University at Buffalo. After dental school, Dr. Sapere completed a general practice residency in Bangor, Maine, with a focus on oral surgery. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sapere has many hobbies including water skiing, woodworking, and gardening. He is an avid Buffalo Bills fan, along with his wife and two dogs.
Kami Sobey, DDS
Dr. Kami was born and raised in Canandaigua, NY. After graduating from Canandaigua Academy, Kami earned a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester. She then worked for several years in sales, customer service and healthcare before going back to school to pursue an advanced degree. As a married adult with children, Kami earned a master’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University at Buffalo, followed by a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.
Kami is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the NYS Dental Society, as well as the Seventh District Dental Society.
Kami and her husband, Whit, live in Canandaigua with their three children – Avery, Harper and Wilo. Kami and Whit are avid skiers and love being outside with their kids, enjoying all four seasons of the beautiful Finger Lakes region.
Catherine Telehany, DDS
Dr. Cate was raised in a military family in Upstate NY. She received her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from SUNY College at Oneonta. Afterwards, she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Cate then completed post-doctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New York State Dental Society and Seventh District Dental Society.
Currently, Dr. Cate is actively pursuing advanced orthodontic training in Toronto with the Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics. Dr. Cate strives to deliver high-quality comprehensive dental care within the progressive and positive work environment at FLDC. Dr. Cate lives in Canandaigua with her husband, Stephen, and their two children, Aleksander and Holland.
Ali Ghorbani Gazar, DDS
Dr. Ali Ghorbani Gazar received his DDS from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. He then moved to Rochester for post-doctoral training and completed a two-year general practice residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he gained extensive training in various aspects of general dentistry. To further his clinical and surgical skills, Dr. Ali completed a one-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Jacobi Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Ali is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, and Seventh District Dental Society. He is certified to provide dental treatments under intravenous and oral sedation. Dr. Ali’s goal is to provide a pleasant dental experience for his patients. As a proud member of Finger Lakes Dental Care (FLDC) he strives to fulfill FLDC’s vision, which is to change the way people feel about dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ali is an avid soccer fan and loves reading history books. Dr. Ali spends his free time with his lovely wife, Hengameh and his son, Ryan.
Sari Manap, DDS
Dr. Sari is a native of Indonesia and was born and raised in the capital, Jakarta. She graduated from dental school in Indonesia, then moved to the USA to pursue her passion in orthodontics and attended post-doc orthodontic training at both New York University and University of Michigan. She then moved to Rochester, NY and completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry as well as a fellowship in Complex Care Center and Pediatric Dentistry at University of Rochester Medical Center. She fell in love with Pediatric Dentistry and became a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health. Her passion in pediatric dentistry and special needs care led her to finish another 1-year training in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disability at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital.
During her education in Indonesia, she was awarded a President Scholarship from the University of Indonesia and graduated with honors. At the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Dr. Sari received the New York State Dental Foundation Dean’s Award for demonstrating outstanding academic achievement and her commitment to enhancing and improving the oral health of underserved populations. She also won the Handelman Award, recognizing her performance during the program of going beyond expectations and demonstrating excellent skills in leadership, ethics, initiative, and communications, as well as showing an interest in enhancing other residents’ experiences at EIOH.
Dr. Sari is a member of AAPD (American Association of Pediatric Dentistry), ADA (American Dental Association), NYS Dental Society, Seventh District Dental Society, AUCD (American University Centers of Disabilities), and AADMD (American Academy of Developmental Medicine & Dentistry), and Special Olympic of NY.
Dr. Sari calls Rochester, NY her new home, and is blessed with 2 teenage children, Nadia and Aidan. Aside from dentistry, she loves learning new skills, and enjoys what life can offer her and her children, including playing multiple music instruments (piano, cello, guitar, ukulele, saxophone), cooking, baking, arts, wood working, sewing, pottery, stained-glass, traveling, volunteer community work, and philanthropy.
Dr. Sari has been enjoying her role as pediatric dentist. Her goal is to make dental visits and treatments as enjoyable as possible, eliminating the fear of dental care.
